(A local Maine Guide sent us this email recently.)
Wolf & Julie, Well I have to say that those flies work great. Chapman's
Smelt was the winner of the day. Check out this 4 lber that I landed yesterday on a scouting trip for a guide trip I
have next week. Thanks for the flies, they work great. Next time I am up that way I will drop you an email to
see if you folks want to go wet a line together. -Nate

( Great job Marc! )
Gray Wolf / Julie, I just wanted to write you a note to share my first
experience using your Llama Hair Smelt/Minnow flies. I fished the Androscoggin River this past weekend in less than ideal
early season conditions (unusually cold water/high flows). I was using a Llama Hair Golden Smelt and caught this 4 1/2 pound
Brookie along with many other nice fish in just a couple hours. They were really taking the Golden Smelt fly aggressively,
I must have caught close to 10 fish on the same fly and it is still usable( the actual fly is in the picture). After I had
my fill, I quit fishing to help my friend who is somewhat new to fly fishing and was not having much luck. I spent some time
explaining how to better read the fast water and pick out the current seams . I gave him a Llama Hair Chapman Silver
Minnow and he proceeded to catch about 4 nice fish within the next hour or so, also lost a few beauties. We had a fantastic
day thanks to Gray Wolf and his Llama Hair Smelt/Minnow patterns. I think these flies are destined to be future classics,
the aggressive response they draw out of fish is amazing.
Thanks again, Marc

Fish # 27 on the same Red Gray Ghost! Clyde has decided to retire the fly and display
it on the wall of his Store. He has many stories to tell about that fly! The only damage was the tinsel on the rear hook was
chewed off and the tandem wire is a little bent. Not bad for 27 toothy fish!
Great job Clyde!

Congratulations to Jack Englehardt on this beautiful Rainbow
Trout caught on a #6 Gray Wolf's Bleeding Silver Minnow. Just one of 14-16 fish caught one wet rainy morning the week of Thanksgiving
while fishing with his family in North Carolina. The fish measured about 25 in. That is a trophy catch in anyone's book !
Well stocked with Gray Wolf flies the family had a great time that morning. Well done and a thank you to Nancy Englehardt
for this picture of her son and his catch of a lifetime!

A beautiful Brookie caught by John Swider of New York. The fish measured out at a nice 22
inches. The color on this fish is amazing. This one was released. John is the President of his local chapter of Trout Unlimited.
